Birschbach Named Midwest Conference Offensive Performer of the Week

For the second time this season, Paige Birschbach has been named Midwest Conference Offensive Performer of the Week. Her latest honor came Monday after she helped the Ripon College Red Hawks win both of their games last week to remain unbeaten with a 12-0-1 record, which is the best start to a season in program history.

The Chemistry major from Eden, Wis. totaled three goals and three assists during the week. In Sunday’s 5-1 win at Bethany Lutheran College, Birschbach recorded her seventh career hat trick, which breaks a school record. That also marked her third hat trick of the season, which is tied for a school record.

Birschbach leads Division-III in goals with 20, while also recording 10 assists on the year. She is just the second player in program history to record 50 points in a single season and is just six points shy of the school record with five games left in the regular season.
