Hoops Regionals Continue Tonight

The #7 Fond du Lac (11-11) boys basketball team opens up their postseason tonight with a Division One Regional Semifinal at #2 Neenah (18-4).  The Rockets swept Fondy this season winning at Fond du Lac on January 4th and then picking up a 50-43 victory at Neenah on February 14th.  You can hear this game on K107.1-FM.  Coverage begins at 6:50pm and its presented by Ellison Electric and Galaxy Lighting.  The game will also stream at k107.com

 

In Division Two, Waupun, runner up in the Eastern Wisconsin Conference, gets a #2 seed and will host Cedarburg tonight.  The Bulldogs advanced to regional semifinals with an 80-40 blowout of Kewaskum.  Also in D2 tonight, Ripon travels to Sheboygan Falls and Mayville heads to Columbus in the battle of two teams nicknamed Cardinals.

 

In Division Three, Chilton stopped rival New Holstein 60-45 on Wednesday night and will travel to Two Rivers tonight. 

 

In Division Four, both Laconia and St. Mary’s Springs hope to begin deep playoff runs tonight.  #1 Laconia (22-0) will host Beaver Dam Wayland (8-10)  Wayland advanced with a 64-55 win over Markesan on Tuesday night.  Also in D4, #2 St. Mary’s Springs (18-4) plays host to Pardeeville (14-9) advanced to tonight’s matchup with a 58-48 win over Horicon.  Pardeeville knocked off Randolph last week 43-37 on February 14th ending the Rockets 175 game conference win streak.

Central Wisconsin Christian (16-5) is the lone area team left in Division Five.  The Crusaders hammered Pecatonica 73-31 in their playoff opener on Tuesday night and will take on Fall River tonight.
