Brewers Sign Top Draft Pick

The Milwaukee Brewers have signed their first round draft pick, left handed pitcher Ethan Small from Mississippi State. Small was taken in the first round (28th overall) of this month’s First-Year Player Draft. The 22-year-old redshirt junior went 10-2 with a 1.93 ERA in 107 innings pitched for the Bulldogs across 18 starts, helping lead Mississippi State to its 11th appearance in the College World Series. Small was named the SEC’s 2019 Pitcher of the Year, and earned first team All-SEC Honors, and was a First Team All-American by the American Baseball Coaches Association. With Small’s signing, the Brewers have now agreed to terms with 22 of their 39 selections from this year’s draft.
