Dock Spiders Baseball Returning to KFIZ in 2019
The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders are excited to announce their extended radio partnership with KFIZ AM1450 for the 2019 season! Fans of the Northwoods League team will be able to hear 33 of the games on KFIZ AM1450 and the remaining games will be available on-line at KFIZ.com. “We’re excited to continue our partnership with KFIZ and ensure Dock Spiders fans from Fond du Lac and the surrounding communities will be able to follow us all season long both on the radio and on-line,” said Dock Spiders General Manager Ryan Moede.
“KFIZ Is excited to once again be your radio home for Dock Spiders Baseball this season,” said KFIZ Program Director, Spencer Wagen. “It was a thrill to bring our listeners the team’s run to the Northwoods League Championship last year – and we’re pleased to bring the Fondy Faithful all the action again in 2019!”
Below is a list of the games that are scheduled to be broadcast on KFIZ AM1450 (Dates are Subject to Change):
May 29
June 1, 3, 6, 8, 10, 11, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 22, 27, & 30
July 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 19, 21, 23, 24, 25, 30, & 31
August 1, 2, 3, & 8
The 2018 voice of the Dock Spiders, Cam McGuire, will be returning for his second season of play-by-play announcing in 2019. “Coming back to the Dock Spiders and the community of Fond du Lac was a no brainer for me” said McGuire. “I’m looking forward to another awesome summer with some great people and hopefully another championship.” McGuire is currently a senior at Lake Forest College in Illinois.
The Dock Spiders open their season on the road against the Kalamazoo Growlers on Tuesday, May 28th. The first home game will be played on Saturday, June 1st at 6:35PM against the Lakeshore Chinooks.
