Dock Spiders Fall in Extras to the Booyah

GREEN BAY, WI— The Fond
du Lac Dock Spiders (5-3) fell to the Green Bay Booyah (5-3) in 10 innings.

It was a pitchers duel
the entire game.
Aaron Ball Jr. (Kankakee CC) got the start and did not
disappoint. He went five innings of one hit baseball. The first hit came with
one out in the fifth inning.

The Dock Spiders and the
Booyah offenses were both struggling to find a way to plate any runs. Until the
fifth inning when the Dock Spiders threatened.

Zack Prajzner (Notre
Dame)
doubled home the first and only run for the Dock
Spiders offense.

But the Booyah would
answer in the bottom of the sixth and tie the game up. And then it was a
stalemate from there.

Both teams would
threaten with runners in scoring position, but pitching dominated and would not
cave.

The game went into the
tenth and with the new international extra innings rule, each team starts with
a runner at second base.

The Dock Spiders
advanced their runner to third but couldn’t pull through. The Booyah would load
the bases up and walk it off in the bottom half of the inning.

It was the first extra
inning game of the year for the Dock Spiders, and they fell short. But the
pitching came to play.

Next up for the Dock
Spiders is the Wisconsin Woodchucks at Herr-Baker Field at Marian University.
First pitch scheduled for 6:35 PM CST.
