Driver Retires

After 14 seasons, Packers wide receiver Donald Driver will retire from football. Driver will retire as the Packers all time leader in receptions (743) and receiving yards (10,137). He had seven 1000 yard seasons and caught at least 50 passes in 9 seasons. Both are tops in franchise history. He also caught a pass in a team record 133 straight games. He was drafted in the 7th round of the 1999 NFL draft as a speedy track athlete out of small Alcorn State and became one of the most beloved players in Packers history. Driver’s star spread nationally over the past 12 months after winning ABC’s Dancing with the Stars. There will be an official retirement celebration at the Lambeau Field Atrium on Wednesday.
