FDL High School soccer teams receives Team Academic Awards

A total of 378 soccer teams
(143 boys, 235 girls) from throughout the United States have earned the NSCAA
Team Academic Award for exemplary performance in the classroom as a team during
the 2012-13 academic year. Fond du Lac High School’s soccer teams are among the
50 schools’ programs receiving honors for both their boys and girls
teams.
To qualify for the award, the
team must have a minimum grade point average of 3.25 for the entire academic
year. The team GPA is determined by adding every player’s GPA, then dividing by
the number of players.
The girls have been
recognized 12 times, 9 times in a row, and 8 under Coach Winkler. The boys have
been recognized 9 times, all under Coach Winkler, and this is their first since
2010.
