Fondy Boys Win 3rd Straight

The Fond du Lac boys basketball team rallied by
Hortonville for their 3rd straight win 66-61 on Friday night on the
road.  After a sluggish first half, Fondy
found themselves down 35-24 heading to the locker room.  The Cardinals chipped that lead down to a
bucket at 46-44 after three quarters.
Fondy finally pulled even at 54-54 with 2:06 left in the 4th quarter
when Caleb Goldstein buried a right wing three-pointer.  A foul was called on Hortonville after the
shot leaving Fondy with the basketball. Goldstein then buried a left baseline
three to give the Cardinals the 57-54 lead that they would never give up.  Goldstein scored 17 of his game high 22
points in the 2nd half.  He
hit five three pointers on the night.
Brian Luteyn added 20 points and Jake Walgenbach 8.  Kyle Witthun had 20 and Charlie Schabo 17 for
Hortonville (8-12, 5-11)  Fond du Lac (6-15, 5-12)
will wrap up their regular season at Kimbely next Thursday night.  You’ll hear that game on News-Talk 1450 KFIZ.
