Fondy Holds off Rockets

The Fond du Lac football team
held on to beat Neenah
47-42 on Friday night at Rocket Stadium. 
The Cardinals ran out to a 39-21 lead at the half as they piled up 421
yards of offense in the first two quarters. 
The Cardinals led 47-28 at the end of three and after being stopped on 4th
down inside the one yard line had to survive one last Neenah drive to hold on.  Senior Kyle Pierce 28 times for 233 yards and
three touchdowns.  Sophomore QB Quinn
Woelfel ran 18 times for 139 yards and a pair of scores.  He also hit Ty Krueger on a 68 yard TD.
Krueger also ran for a score.  The
Cardinals ran it 50 times for 398 yards for the game and rolled up 550 yards of
total offense in the win.  The Cardinal (2-3, 2-1) head to unbeaten Oshkosh North (5-0, 3-0) next Friday.
