Fondy Stops Oshkosh West

The Fond du Lac Cardinals picked up their 2nd Valley Football Association win of the season with a 41-27 win at Oshkosh West on Friday Night. Fondy jumped out to a 27-6 lead in the first half as John Gaskell caught three TD passes from Sophomore Jack Nejedlo. West rallied to cut it to 27-20 before Najedlo scored on runs of 29 and 15 yards to seal the win. Gaskell finished the game with 7 catches for 123 yards to go along with his three TDs. George McEnroe rushed 27 times for 108 yards and a score. The win improves Fondy to 2-4 in the league and 3-4 overall. The Cardinals wrap up their season next Friday night when they host Menasha at Fruth Field. You’ll hear the game on KFIZ and at KFIZ.com.
