Ghosts Down Cards
The Kaukauna (9-5, 7-4) boys basketball moved into 3rd place all by themselves in the FVA with a 59-49 win over Fond du Lac on Friday night. The Ghosts outscored Fondy 15-4 in the 2nd quarter to open up a 29-16 lead at the half. The Cardinals battled back to cut the lead to five late in the 4th quarter but couldn’t get over the hump. From the free throw line the Ghosts were 22 of 26 while Fondy was just 7 of 11 on the night. Max Schebel and Joe Schorse each scored 12 to pace the Cardinals. Fondy (8-5, 6-5) will host Appleton East on Tuesday night at the Acuity Fieldhouse. You’ll hear the game on News-Talk 1450 KFIZ and streaming at kfiz.com.
