High School Wrestling Sectionals – 2/16/19

Note: First and Second place finishers in Division One qualify for state, while the top three finishers in Divisions Two and Three head to state.

High School Wrestling Sectionals – 2/16/19:

Division One Sectional – at Hartford HS:

Fond du Lac’s Isaac Ortegon won the Sectional Championship at 138 pounds and advances to the WIAA Individual State Tournament. Joining him at state will be Braelon Allen at 182 pounds, who finished as the runner up in his weight class.

Division Two Sectional  – at Campbellsport HS:

Campbellsport: Matt Koelbl won the Sectional Championship at 195 pounds and qualifies for state. The Cougars will also send Cade Heisdorf (126 pounds – 2nd place) and Drake Muellenbach (106 pounds – 3rd place) to state.

Chilton/Hilbert: Zach Boehnlein won the Sectional Championship at 145 pounds and qualifies for state. Also qualifying for Chilton/Hilbert are Maverik Ott (138 pounds – 2nd place) and Gaven Lisowe (152 pounds – third place).

Kewaskum: Eric Bauer (160 pounds) and Tanner Goeman (170 pounds) both won sectional championships and qualify for state. Braden Maertz (145 pounds – 3rd place) will also advance to state from Kewaskum

Kiel: Andrew Schad won the Sectional Championship at 120 pounds and qualified for state.

Lomira: Alex Gundrum (132 pounds – 2nd place) and Adam Sauer (138 pounds – 3rd place) qualify for state.

North Fond du Lac/St. Mary’s Springs: Andrew Forsythe (145 pounds – 2nd place), Marcus Orlandoni (195 pounds – 2nd place), Dalton Fritch (160 pounds – 3rd place) and Lane Fritch (182 pounds – 3rd place) all qualify for state for the Oriole/Ledger team.

Division Three Sectional – at Dodgeland HS:

Laconia: Colton Lovejoy (126 pounds – 3rd place) qualified for state

Winnebago Lutheran: Ryan Jacobs (285 pounds – 2nd place) qualified for state.
