Kaukauna Pounds Fondy Boys

Kaukauna came to Fond du Lac and trounced the Cardinal boys basketball team 66-51 on Friday night at the Acuity Fieldhouse. The Ghosts hit four 3-pointers in the first quarter as they jumped out to a 20-14 lead. Kaukauna ballooned that lead to 23-14 in the 2nd quarter before Fondy got hot and used a 16-3 run to take a 33-30 lead. Kaukauna ran off the final six points in the quarter to lead 33-30 at the break. The Galloping Ghosts blew by the Cardinals in the 2nd half outscoring them 33-21 to even their FVA mark at 1-1. Logan Wendt was the only Fondy player in double figures with 10 points. Brian Luteyn scored 8. Robert Windsor and Joe Schorse each chipped in 7. Max Schebel and Tyler Kryzanowski scored 5. Collin Pickart had 3 points while Marcus Ruch and Jared Quimby scored 2 points each. Kyle Schalow and Riley Vander Wyst each scored 22 points for Kaukauna.
