It appears the Packers have found their next defensive coordinator. Multiple reports said Tuesday the Packers are set to name Mike Pettine their new defensive leader, replacing Dom Capers who was let go last week. Pettine was the defensive coordinator for the New York Jets under Rex Ryan from 2009 to 2012 and the Buffalo Bills in 2013. Pettine most recently served as the head coach of the Cleveland Browns from 2014 to 2015

Packers defensive tackle Mike Daniels was named to the Pro Bowl roster on Tuesday. Daniels replaces Los Angeles Rams’ defensive tackle Aaron Donald who will be unable to play because of an injury. It is the first selection to the Pro Bowl for Daniels, after being named an alternate each of the past three seasons. Daniels recorded a career-best 72 tackles, 42 of them solo, while finishing third on the Packers with five sacks in 2017.
