NBA:

The Bucks have fired head coach Jason Kidd. The team made the news official Monday afternoon, after it was first reported by ESPN.com. Assistant coach Joe Prunty served as the team’s interim coach for Monday’s game against the Phoenix Suns. Bucks General Manager Jon Horst said that a plan will be in place regarding the coaching staff for the remainder of the regular season by Friday. Kidd was hired in 2014 and finishes his time in Milwaukee with a 139-152 record. Kidd coached the Bucks to two playoff appearances during his tenure, but the team was eliminated in the first round each time. The Bucks are 24-22 and currently sit as the number seven seed in the Eastern Conference after last night’s win

Tonight, the Badgers are back on the road as they visit Iowa City to take on the Hawkeyes. Wisconsin is coming off a 75-50 win over Illinois at the Kohl Center on Friday night, a win that snapped a three-game losing streak. Meanwhile, Iowa has lost two in a row and five of their last six. The Hawkeyes most recent outing was a 87-64 dismantling at the hands of Purdue on Saturday at home, a game that saw the Boilermakers make 20 three pointers in the win. Wisconsin is 3-4 in league play, while Iowa is 1-7. Pregame coverage begins at 5pm with tipoff at 6 on KFIZ.

NFL News:

Minnesota Vikings offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur is the new head coach of the New York Giants. Shurmur spent the last two seasons in Minneapolis, and inherits a team that went 3-13 under Ben McAdoo and interim coach Steve Spagnuolo this season, one year after making the playoffs. Shurmur returns to the head coaching ranks for the first time since leading the Cleveland Browns in 2011-12.
