NFL:

The Packers officially announced Brian Gutekunst as their new General Manager Monday. Gutekunst is the 10th person to hold that title for Green Bay, and is entering his 20th season with the team. He spent the last two seasons as the director of player personnel after serving as the director of college scouting for four years. The team also announced the promotion of Russ Ball to executive vice president/director of football operations. Gutekunst will have complete control over all roster decisions, including the NFL Draft and free agency, while Ball will continue to manage the Packers’ salary cap and serve as the chief contract negotiator. Team President Mark Murphy also announced a change in organizational structure for the Packers Monday, as Gutekunst, Ball and Head Coach Mike McCarthy will report directly to Murphy.

Matt Nagy is the new head coach of the Chicago Bears after serving as the Kansas City Chiefs’ offensive coordinator this season. The 39-year-old Nagy spent the past 10 seasons working under Andy Reid in Philadelphia and Kansas City. He takes over a franchise that was 14-34 in three years under John Fox, including a 5-11 mark this season.

College Basketball:

A couple of in-state teams play tonight. In the Big Ten, Wisconsin travels to Nebraska for game two of their three-game road trip, while in the Big East, Marquette will host Seton Hall. No broadcast of tonight’s Badger game on KFIZ because of High School Basketball.
