College Football: 

The Ripon College football team will be hosting its annual “Play for a Cure” game this Saturday when they take on St. Norbert College. The event is a collaboration between the American Cancer Society and the Midwest Conference. Fans are encouraged to show support by wearing pink to the game – and donations will be collected throughout the afternoon, will all proceeds going to cancer research. The game kicks off Saturday at 1 pm at Ingalls Field in Ripon

NFL: 

Scoring four touchdowns will get you noticed.  Following his impressive performance in the 34-24 win over the Cowboys, Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones has been named the N-F-C Offensive Player of the Week. Jones had 107 rushing yards and caught seven passes for 75 yards to go with the four scores.  The Packers host the Detroit Lions with first place in the N-F-C North on the line in Monday Night Football.

NBA: 

Milwaukee 133, Utah 99

–The Milwaukee Bucks built up an 18-point lead at the half and roared past the Utah Jazz at home Wednesday night. Giannis Antetokounmpo had a double-double in limited court time, scoring 22 and taking down 11 rebounds. Milwaukee shot 57 percent from the floor and better than 41 percent from outside the arc. The Bucks are 2-0 in preseason play and return to action at Dallas Friday night.  Three preseason games remain with the regular-season opener set for October 24th at Houston.

Major League Baseball: 

National League Division Series

St. Louis 13, Atlanta 1

–The Cardinals score 10 runs in the first inning in the blowout win over the Braves to clinch a spot in the National League Championship Series for the first time since 2014. 

Washington 7, LA Dodgers 3 (10 Innings)

–The Nationals tied the game with back-to-back home runs in the eighth, then won it in the top of the 10th on a Grand Slam from Howie Kendrick to advance to the NLCS. The Nationals win a playoff series for the first time since the team moved to Washington ahead of the 2005 season, and the franchise makes it to the NLCS for the second time in 51 seasons. 

Game one of the NLCS is Friday in St. Louis

Tonight – Game Five of the American League Division Series as Tampa Bay travels to Houston. First pitch is just after 6 pm central time. The winner advances to face the Yankees in the American League Championship Series.

The Cardinals have won four in a row and sit at 6-1 on the year, while Oshkosh North is 0-7 on the season. Coverage starts at 6 pm tonight with the Kickoff Show, kickoff is 7 pm on KFIZ and KFIZ.com.
