MLB News:

The awards keep rolling in for Christian Yelich – as he was crowned the National League Batting Champion and was named the National League’s “Player of the Month” for September.

Yelich went 3 for 4 with an RBI in the Brewers’ win over the Cubs in “Game 163” at Wrigley Field. The 26=year-old led the National League in hitting with a .326 average, but fell short of becoming the 13th Triple Crown winner since 1920. Yelich was one shy in RBI’s to Javier Baez (111-110) and Nolan Arenado in home runs (38-36). Yelich hit .352 over 26 games in the month of September, clubbing 10 home runs – which helped him earn that Player of the Month honor.
