College Football:

Wisconsin climbed three spots in this week’s Associated Press Top 25 after their 49-20 win over Illinois at Camp Randall Stadium on Saturday. The Badgers moved up to number 20 in the nation in the AP Poll, while they held steady at number 19 in the USA Today Coaches Poll. In the AP poll, a shakeup in the top five after number two Ohio State was hammered by Purdue 49-20 in West Lafayette. Alabama remains at number one, with Clemson moving up to two, Notre Dame at three, LSU at four and Michigan at number five. Texas, Georgia, Oklahoma, Florida and Central Florida round out the top 10. Wisconsin visits Northwestern on Saturday – the 4-3 Wildcats survived a scare from Rutgers on Saturday, winning 18-15 over the Scarlet Knights.

NFL:

New England 38, Chicago 31

–Tom Brady threw three touchdowns and the Patriots scored twice on special teams in the win at Soldier Field. Chicago had a chance to tie the game on the final play, but Kevin White was denied the end zone after a 54 yard hail mary pass from Mitch Trubisky to the one yard line. Chicago is 3-3 and hosts the Jets on Sunday.

Minnesota 37, NY Jets 17

–Kirk Cousins threw for two scores, while Latavius Murray ran for two more as the Vikings downed the Jets in New York. The 4-2-1 Vikings host the Saints next Sunday.

Detroit 32, Miami 21

–Matthew Stafford threw for 217 yards and two touchdowns, while rookie Kerryon Johnson had 19 carries for 158 yards in the win for the Lions. Detroit is 3-3 and hosts Seattle on Sunday.
