–Gavin Baseley and Braelon Allen each had two touchdown runs for the Cardinals, who improve to 6-1 on the year. Fondy welcomes Oshkosh North to Fruth Field next week for Homecoming.

College Football:

The University of Wisconsin meets Kent State on the football field for the first time ever Saturday at Camp Randall Stadium.  The ninth-ranked Badgers improved to four-and-oh with a 24-15 home win over Northwestern last weekend. The defense had five sacks, an interception for a touchdown, and fumble recovery T-D against the Wildcats.  The two-and-two Golden Flashes rolled over Bowling Green 62-20 in their last game. Second-year Kent State head coach Sean Lewis is a former U-W tight end. Coverage starts Saturday morning at 9, kickoff is 11 am – listen on KFIZ.

NFL: 

The Green Bay Packers are a little banged up heading into Sunday’s game at the Dallas Cowboys.  Wide receiver Davante Adams did not practice again Thursday due to the turf toe injury, running back Jamaal Williams sat out following his concussion,  cornerback Keving King has a groin injury and corner Tony Brown is nursing a sore hamstring. Defensive lineman Montravius Adams is set to return Sunday after missing two games with a shoulder injury.  Linebacker Kyler Fackrell was also back on the practice field and tackle Bryan Bulaga practiced for the second straight day.

Seattle 30, LA Rams 29

–Russell Wilson tossed four touchdown passes in the win for the Seahawks – including the go-ahead score with 2:28 left. The Rams missed a potential game-winning field goal with 11 seconds left. 

Major League Baseball: 

National League Division Series: 

St. Louis 7, Atlanta 6

–The Cardinals totaled six runs between the 8th and 9th innings to steal Game One in Atlanta

LA Dodgers 6, Washington 0

–Max Muncy went 2 for 3 with 3 RBI in the win for the Dodgers in game one. 

The NLDS continues today in Atlanta and Los Angeles

The American League Division Series begins today – with Tampa Bay at Houston and Minnesota at the New York Yankees.
