Girls Volleyball:

Girls Tennis:

Fond du Lac’s Kellie Hierl finished in second place at the Sectional Meet hosted by Oshkosh North on Thursday. Hierl will compete at the Individual State Meet which starts next Thursday in Madison. Fond du Lac’s #1 doubles team of Anna Mauthe and Carly Paulson lost their first match at sectionals 6-4, 2-6, 0-6.

Cross Country:

The Fond du Lac Girls Cross Country team took first place at the Port Washington Invite on Thursday. Riley Collett took first place individually with a time of 18:43, Madison Hughes finished eighth (19:49) and Ally Schmitz 11th (20:16). The Fond du Lac boys placed 13th – Henry Hughes finished in 33rd (17:48) to lead the Cardinals.

North Fond du Lac/Oakfield competed at the Campbellsport Invite on Thursday – Diego Charbonneau was the overall champion for the boys race with a time of 17:28.62. Nolan Stark also medaled, finishing seventh. The boys team finished 5th out of 11 teams overall. The girls team placed ninth – Avery Conger led them individually placing 26th.

Milwaukee 3, Colorado 2 (10 Innings)

–Mike Moustakas hit a walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the 10th to give the Brewers a win over the Rockies in game one of the National League Division Series at Miller Park Thursday. Christian Yelich blasted a two-run home run in the third inning that nearly held up the rest of the way, until the Rockies tied the game off of Jeremy Jeffress in the ninth. Yelich walked to start the 10th, then after a fielder’s choice advanced him to third, Moustakas drove the two-strike pitch from Adam Ottavino to right field to score Yelich and give the Brewers the win. Game two is this afternoon – coverage starts at 2:40, first pitch at 3:15 on KFIZ and the Brewers Radio Network.

–The Dodgers lead the series 1-0, game two is tonight in Los Angeles

The American League Division Series begin today – Cleveland visits Houston in game one, first pitch at 1:05 central time, while the Yankees visit the Red Sox – first pitch just after 6:30. Both games are on TBS TV.
