–DeAndre Ross scored 21 points to lead the Sabres in the loss. Marian drops to 0-3 on the season, they’ll host UW-La Crosse on Tuesday. 

Wisconsin 83, McNeese State 63

–Brad Davison scored 24 points – one of four players in double figures for the Badgers – as they used a big second half to pull away from McNeese State in non-conference play at the Kohl Center. Wisconsin led by three at halftime (37-34), then outscored the Cowboys 46-29 in the second half to close out the win. The Badgers improve to 2-1 on the year – they’ll host Marquette on Sunday. 

Marquette 65, Purdue 55

–The Golden Eagles used a 40-point second half to rally from a 13 point halftime deficit and beat Purdue at Fiserv Forum Wednesday night. Koby McEwen scored 23 points, Markus Howard added 18 for Marquette in the win.

NBA: 

The Chicago Bulls will try to break the hold Milwaukee seems to have on them when the two N-B-A teams meet in the Fiserv Forum tonight (Thursday). The Bucks have won the last six meetings, but they will be playing without injured small forward Khris Middleton and his 18 points-a-game.  Chicago’s Otto Porter and Cristiano Felicio will miss the action, too. Both teams won last weekend. Tipoff is set for 7 pm, coverage starts at 6:30 on KFIZ and the Bucks Radio Network

–Frank Mason III scored 29 points, Dragan Bender added 22 in the win for the Herd. Wisconsin hosts Raptors 905 on Friday night. 

College Football: 

History suggests a big game for Wisconsin running back Jonathan Taylor when the Badgers take on the Nebraska Cornhuskers Saturday. The speedy junior has averaged 235 yards-a-game the first two times he played against the Huskers. Taylor is coming off a game against Iowa where he ran for 250 yards in a 24-22 win. Nebraska brings a 4-and-5 record into the Big Ten showdown at Memorial Stadium – having lost three in a row. Their last win came on October 5th – a 13-10 win over Northwestern. The last time coach Scott Frost’s team faced a run-heavy attack, Minnesota gouged it for 322 yards on the ground.
