–Jonathan Taylor’s 17-yard touchdown run in the third overtime made the Badgers a winner in a hard fought road win at Purdue on Saturday. Taylor carried the ball 33 times for 321 yards and three touchdowns in the win – including an 80 yard touchdown on the first play of the second half. Wisconsin went behind 27-13 with 9:57 left in the game, but ended up tying the game on two touchdown passes from Jack Coan to Danny Davis. The teams matched scores in the first two overtime periods, then the Badgers defense held Purdue to a 41 yard field goal to start the third overtime. Two plays later, Taylor was in the end zone and the Badgers were victorious. The win is Wisconsin’s 13th straight win over the Boilermakers. The Badgers improve to 5-3 in the Big Ten and 7-4 overall, they battle Minnesota for Paul Bunyan’s Axe at Camp Randall next Saturday.
