–Ethan Happ scored 14 points and grabbed eight rebounds, D’Mitrik Trice added 10 points in the loss for Wisconsin. The Badgers are now 3-4 and will open conference play against Ohio State on Saturday, tipoff is at 4pm.

–Sam Hauser scored 30 points, making six three pointers as the Golden Eagles survived Eastern Illinois at the Bradley Center

Wisconsin freshman Brad Davison was recognized as the Big Ten’s Co-Freshman of the week by the league office on Monday. Davison averaged 15 points and two steals per game, shooting 50% from the floor and 47% from beyond the three-point line. Davison made the first two starts of his career last week, going 7 for 8 from the floor, and 5 of 6 on three pointers in last Friday’s win over Milwaukee.

College Football:

Badgers running back Jonathan Taylor has once again been named the Big Ten’s Freshman of the Week. It’s his eighth time earning the honor this season and the seventh consecutive time Taylor has been given the award. Taylor ran for 149 yards on 20 carries in Wisconsin’s 31-0 win over Minnesota on Saturday. His total yards going into Saturday’s Big Ten Championship Game against Ohio State sits at 1,806, which is third most by a freshman in FBS history. That number puts him behind only Ron Dayne (2,109 in 1996) and Adrian Peterson (1,925 in 2004).
