--Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 34 points, grabbed 15 rebounds had had six assists as the Bucks used a big second half to take down the Timberwolves in Minneapolis on Monday night. Khris Middleton added 26 points, Eric Bledsoe had 22 for the Bucks who won their third in a row to improve to 5-2 on the year. The Bucks continue the road trip Wednesday night in Los Angeles against the Clippers.

Giannis Antetokounmpo has been named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week.  While the Bucks were winning three of four games, the man known as the “Greek Freak” averaged 25 points,13 rebounds, six-and-a-half assists, two blocks and one steal-a-game.  Antetokounmpo is the first N-B-A player in history to produce 150 points, 80 rebounds and 40 assists in the first six games of a season. He earned the honor six times last year.

Men’s College Basketball: 

The regular season begins tonight for the Wisconsin Badgers as they take on St. Mary’s of California at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Wisconsin is coming off of a 23-11 season, which saw the Badgers reach the NCAA Tournament, but fall to Oregon in the first round. St. Mary’s finished 22-12 and also made the NCAA’s, but was knocked out by Villanova in the first round. Game time tonight is 8 pm - listen to coverage on KFIZ starting at 7 pm.
