The Cardinals won on the last play of the game in week one – as Jared Scheberl made the game-winning field goal to snap the Papermakers 70-game win streak in a 31-28 win. This time a trip to state is on the line – and the two teams will fight for a trip to Camp Randall on the turf at Titan Stadium. Division 5: St. Mary’s Springs vs. Lake Country Lutheran (At West Bend)

The Ledgers passed their first three tests of the playoffs with wins over Dominican, Omro and Amherst to get to the state semifinals, and now look to compete for another state championship at Camp Randall. Standing in the way is Lake Country Lutheran, who defeated Marshall, Mayville and Horicon/Hustisford to advance to tonight’s matchup. –The Bucks got 26 points from Eric Bledsoe, 24 points from Giannis Antetokounmpo and 20 points from Malcolm Brogdon as they took down the defending champs on the road Thursday night. Klay Thompson had 24 to lead the Warriors – who fall to 10-2 on the year. The Bucks are 9-2 and take on the LA Clippers on Saturday afternoon.

MLB:

Brewers outfielder Christian Yelich has won the Silver Slugger award. Yelich hit .326 in helping the Brewers overtake the Cubs and win the National League Central crown and advance to game seven of the National League Championship Series. Yelich also sported a .598 slugging percentage and tied for second in the NL with 110 RBI and tied for third in the league with 36 home runs. It’s the second Silver Slugger award for Yelich in his career – claiming the honor in 2016 with Miami. Yelich is the first Brewer to win the award since Ryan Braun in 2012.
