–Melissa Van Den Berg scored 16 points to lead CWC, Abi Streeter scored 12 for Oakfield in the loss.

College Basketball News:

The Badger basketball team fell four spots in this week’s Associated Press Top 25 poll, after splitting a pair of games last week. The Badgers sit at number 16 after winning over Rutgers last Monday and falling in overtime to Marquette on Saturday. Kansas is the new number one team in the nation, with Duke at two, Tennessee at three, Gonzaga down to four and Michigan at five. The rest of the top ten includes Virginia, Nevada, Auburn, Michigan State and Florida State. Marquette finds itself back into the poll this week – the Golden Eagles slide into the rankings at number 21.

Wisconsin senior Ethan Happ was named Co-Player of the Week in the Big Ten this week – in a week that saw Wisconsin split a pair of games. Happ averaged 27 points, seven rebounds and three assists per game, including a career-high 34 points and 11 rebounds in Saturday’s overtime loss to Marquette. Happ also scored 20 points in a win over Rutgers last Monday. Happ shared the award with Purdue’s Carsen Edwards – who averaged 30 points, three assists and three rebounds last week in action for the Boilermakers.

Marquette’s Joey Hauser was named the Big East Freshman of the Week after helping the Golden Eagles to a pair of wins last week. Hauser scored 15 points in each of their two contests last week – wins over UTEP and Wisconsin as Marquette improved to 8-2 on the year. Hauser is averaging 10.7 points per game in his freshman season in Milwaukee.

NBA:

Milwaukee 108, Cleveland 92

–Eric Bledsoe scored 20 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, Malcolm Brogdon added 18 points with Khris Middleton scoring 16 in the win for the Bucks. Milwaukee played without Giannis Antetokounmpo – who sat out with a sore neck. The team says Giannis is expected to play Wednesday night as the Bucks visit Indiana.

College Football:

Three Wisconsin Badgers football players were named to the Associated Press All-America team. Sophomore running back Jonathan Taylor and senior guard Beau Benzschawel were named first team All-Americans by the AP on Monday, while senior guard Michael Dieter was named a second team All-American.

NFL:

Seattle 21, Minnesota 7

–The Seahawks scored two fourth quarter touchdowns to put away the Vikings on Monday Night Football. Minnesota is 6-6-1 and hosts Miami on Sunday.
