–Reed Gunnink scored 25 points, Jaylen Mahone 23 as the Spartans defeated the Hornets.

Girls High School Basketball:

Lakeside Lutheran 59, Winnebago Lutheran 44

–Jena Krueger scored 14 points to lead WLA in the loss. Alyssa Lorenz added 10 points and 12 rebounds.

Boys High School Hockey:

Fond du Lac 4, Stevens Point Pacelli 3

St. Mary’s Springs 2, Northland Pines 1

–Zach Welsch scored both goals for Springs, Colin Ahern had 31 saves for the Ledgers in goal.

High School Wrestling:

Fond du Lac, North Fond du Lac/St. Mary’s Springs and Winnebago Lutheran all competed in the Marty Loy Classic at Fond du Lac High School. Fond du Lac scored 47 team points, NFDL/St. Mary’s Springs scored 44 and Winnebago Lutheran had 18. Burlington took first place with 253 team points, Hudson second with 210.5.

Individually, Colton Wasieleski placed third at 220 pounds for Fond du Lac HS. Wasieleski won by a fall in 4:14 over Dakota Maas of North Fond du Lac/St. Mary’s Springs to take third.

For North Fond du Lac/St. Mary’s Springs Marcus Orlandoni (195 pounds) and Dakota Maas (220 lbs.) placed fourth in their respective weight class.

For Winnebago Lutheran, Grant Manke placed fifth at 220 pounds, winning by a 13-3 decision over Grant Williamson of Freedom.

–Matthew Stafford threw for 237 yards and two scores as the Lions completed the season sweep over the Bears. Detroit travels to Cincinnati next Sunday, while the Bears host Cleveland.

Kansas City 30, Los Angeles 13

The Packers officially activated quarterback Aaron Rodgers from the Injured Reserve list on Saturday and waived backup quarterback Joe Callahan. Rodgers will start today’s matchup with the Carolina Panthers after missing the last seven games with the broken collarbone he suffered against Minnesota back in October.

College Football:

The College Football bowl season got underway Saturday with five games.

New Orleans Bowl: Troy 50, North Texas 30

Cure Bowl: Georgia State 27, Western Kentucky 17

New Mexico Bowl: Marshall 31, Colorado State 28

Camellia Bowl: Middle Tennessee 35, Arkansas State 30

The bowl season continues Tuesday with the Boca Raton Bowl, as Akron takes on Florida Atlantic.

NBA:

Houston 115, Milwaukee 111

–Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 28 points, Khris Middleton added 23 as the Bucks lost their third straight game. The win is Houston’s 13th straight. The Bucks host Cleveland on Tuesday night.

NBA G-League:

Wisconsin 111, Erie 110

–James Young scored 28 points and added 10 rebounds to lead the Herd to a win over the BayHawks. Wisconsin hosts Grand Rapids on Wednesday.
