Wisconsin 82, Chicago State 70

--Ethan Happ posted a double-double of 18 points and 12 rebounds as the Badgers beat Chicago State at the Kohl Center to move back to .500 at 7-7 on the year. Kahlil Iverson scored 17, Brad Davison scored 15 in the win. Wisconsin closes out the non-conference portion of the season with a Saturday afternoon game against UMass-Lowell.


Big East:


Xavier 91, Marquette 87

--Andrew Rowsey scored 31 points off of six three pointers as Marquette dropped the Big East opener to Xavier at the Bradley Center. The Golden Eagles made 15 three pointers in the game. Marquette hosts Georgetown on Saturday.


NFL:


Seven Packers players sat out of their first practice of the week Wednesday as the team gets ready for the season finale against Detroit on the road on Sunday. Receivers Davante Adams (Concussion), Geronimo Allison (illness) and Jordy Nelson (Shoulder) all sat out, along with guard Jahri Evans and running back Aaron Jones (knee), linebacker Nick Perry (Ankle/Shoulder) and tight end Richard Rodgers (Shoulder) were also held out.
