Those decisions were announced Monday, a few hours after the Cincinnati Reds revealed they had signed third baseman Mike Moustakas to a four-year, 64-million dollar contract. Contracts were tendered to three other arbitration-eligible players – relievers Josh Hader, Corey Knebel and Brent Suter.

NFL:

Three-fourths of the way through the 2019 season and the Green Bay Packers are still averaging negative yardage on punt returns. The N-F-L Network is reporting the Packers claimed Tyler Ervin off waivers from Jacksonville Monday afternoon. Later in the day, the team announced it had released Tremon Smith. Not only has Green Bay been bad on punt returns, the team’s 19-and-a-half-yard average on kickoff returns is ranked dead last.  Ervin has returned 61 punts during his career, averaging eight-point-three yards-a-return.
