Oshkosh On The Water Classic:

Fond du Lac placed 14th with 144 team points. Braelon Allen placed sixth at 182 pounds to highlight the Cardinals’ meet.

Campbellsport placed 31st – with 101.5 team points. Matt Koebel placed third at 195 pounds to lead the Cougars individual wrestlers.

Lomira tied for 32nd place with 99 team points. Noah Danner placed sixth at 145 pounds to lead the Lions’ individual wrestlers

North Fond du Lac/St. Mary’s Springs placed 35th with 87.5 team points Andrew Forsythe (145 pounds) and Marcus Orlandoni (195 pounds) each took seventh place in their weight class for the Oriole/Ledger team.

Laconia placed 49th with 58 team points – Bryce Engelhardt placed seventh at 160 pounds to lead the Spartans at the invite.

Ripon placed 55th with 46 team points – Joe Kain placed ninth at 182 pounds to lead the Tigers.

–Former Fond du Lac HS athlete Drew Jorgensen scored 14 points to lead the Red Hawks in the win.

Western Kentucky 83, Wisconsin 76

–Brad Davison scored 26 points, Ethan Happ added a double-double of 20 points and 12 rebounds, but it was Western Kentucky who defended their home court and knocked off the #15 Badgers on Saturday afternoon. The Hilltoppers shot 67 percent from the floor in the second half in outscoring Wisconsin 53-42. Wisconsin drops to 10-3 on the year and returns to Big Ten play Thursday against Minnesota at the Kohl Center.

–Giannis Antetokounmpo posted his third triple-double of the season – scoring 31 points, grabbing 10 rebounds and dishing out 10 assists in the win for the Bucks over the Nets at Fiserv Forum. Milwaukee is now 25-10 and opens the new year at home on Tuesday against Detroit.
