Big Ten-ACC Challenge:

Wolfpack fans calling it “flopping,” but it’s called taking a charge in Wisconsin. Five times Badger guard Brad Davison drew charging calls as his team edged North Carolina State last year 79-75. The same two squads meet on the court in Raleigh tonight (Wednesday) as part of the Big Ten-A-C-C Challenge.  Wisconsin brings a 4-and-3 record into the matchup after losing two-in-a-row. North Carolina State is 5-and-2.

Women’s College Basketball:

NACC:

Marian 71, Rockford 65 (OT)

--Sabres freshman Madison Holdiman scored 22 points - making six three pointers in the win.

NBA:

The Bucks go for their 13th straight win tonight as they visit the Detroit Pistons. Milwaukee is 18-3 and scored over 130 points in their last two games, both blowout wins over Charlotte and the New York Knicks. The Pistons are 8-13 and have won their last two games. The teams last met on November 23rd, with Milwaukee winning 104-to-90. Tipoff tonight is 6 pm.

College Football:

The Wisconsin Badgers have advanced to eighth in the next-to-last C-F-P rankings of the season. The 38-17 win at Minnesota moved coach Paul Chryst’s team up by four slots after checking in at number-12 last week.  The Badgers’ opponent in the Big Ten Championship game Saturday, Ohio State, held on to number-one. In fact, one-through-four didn’t change – Ohio State, L-S-U, Clemson and Georgia. Utah and Oklahoma remain on the outside looking in.

NFL:

Four former Green Bay Packers have been nominated for positions on the “N-F-L 100 All-Time Team” this week. Defensive end Reggie White was named last week and cornerbacks, safeties and kickers are being picked this time. The four finalists who played in the green-and-gold are cornerbacks Charles Woodson and Herb Adderly, safety Willie Wood and kicker Jan Stenerud.  Those four played a combined 35 years for Green Bay.
