Temple 59, Wisconsin 55

–Ethan Happ scored 23 points to lead the Badgers in the loss. Wisconsin held a three point leat at 55-52 with 3:27 left to play, but Temple closed out the game on a 7-0 run to pull out the non-conference win. Shizz Alston for the Owls went six for six at the free throw line in the game, including the final four points of the game. The Badgers are 4-6 and host in-state rival Marquette on Saturday.

NBA:

Milwaukee 104, Detroit 100

–Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 25 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, Eric Bledsoe added 22, Khris Middleton scored 21 points as the Bucks got the home win over Detroit at the Bradley Center. Milwaukee used a 14-1 run to begin the final quarter and held on for the win. The Bucks host Dallas on Friday.

NFL:



The Packers have placed cornerback Kevin King on Injured Reserve and activated defensive back Demetri Goodson from the Physically Unable to Perform list. The move of King to I-R officially ends his season. He had been dealing with a lingering shoulder injury that will likely require surgery in the offseason. Goodson had been out since suffering a significant knee injury during a game at Washington last season.

College Football:

Wisconsin head coach Paul Chryst was named the Big Ten’s Coach of the Year by the Associated Press Wednesday, as the AP released their All-Big Ten Conference Team. In addition, freshman running back Jonathan Taylor was voted the newcomer of the year. Wisconsin had seven players, four on offense, three on defense, make the first team all conference list. Penn State’s Saquon Barkley earned offensive player of the year honors, while Iowa linebacker Josey Jewell was named defensive player of the year.
