The North Fond du Lac/St. Mary’s Springs wrestling team went 3-2 at the Akey Duels hosted by Weyauwega-Fremont High School. The Oriole/Ledger team defeated Waupaca 61-18, lost to Weyauwega-Fremont 61-18, defeated Seymour 42-37, lost to Stratford 62-13 and won 59-21 over Ripon. Andrew Forsythe and Marcus Orlandoni were both 5-0 on the day, while Zack Williams and Dalton Fritch were both 4-1.

Men’s College Basketball:


Lakeland 73, Marian 69

--Tyrese Pinson scored 20 points to lead the Sabres in the loss, while Logan Hamilton added a double double of 16 points and 10 rebounds.

UW-Oshkosh 92, Calvin College (MI) 56

Marquette 74, Wisconsin 69 (OT)

--Ethan Happ had a double-double with 34 points and 11 rebounds, but that wasn’t enough as Marquette beat Wisconsin at the Fiserv Forum on Saturday afternoon. Poor three-point shooting and misses at the free throw line doomed the Badgers - with Wisconsin making just five of 21 shots from three point distance, and just 10 of 21 at the foul line. Markus Howard scored 27 to lead Marquette, with Joey Hauser adding 15 points and his brother Sam grabbing 14 rebounds to go along with 13 points. The Badgers drop to 8-2 on the year - they return to action Thursday against Savannah State. Marquette improves to 8-2 - and is off until December 18th when they host North Dakota.
