–Gabe Pruss scored 23 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead WLA in the win, Laconia got 19 points from Reed Gunnink in the loss

St. Mary’s Springs 82, Omro 35

–Jenna Gilgenbach scored 22 points to lead Springs in the win. The Ledgers also got 19 from Brianna Freund and 13 from Gracie Rieder – who reached the 1,000 point milestone for her career. The Ledgers made 14 three-pointers in the win.

–Rylee Loehr scored 16 points, with Geneva Hewitt adding 14 points in the win for WLA. North Fond du Lac was led by Becca Kingsland, who scored 10 points.

Mayville 49, Lomira 42

–Whitney Liegl scored 15 points to lead Mayville, Crystal Geiger scored 13 in the loss for Lomira.

–Abbie Aalsma scored 21 points to lead the Warriors in the win.

NBA:

It’s NBA All-Star Weekend in Charlotte.  The Rising Stars and Celebrity Games are tonight.  The Bucks’ Khris Middleton is in tomorrow’s Three-Point Contest. Teammate Giannis Antetokounmpo will captain Team Giannis in Sunday’s All-Star Game.

College Hockey:

Marian hosts the NCHA Harris Cup Quarterfinals at the Blue Line this weekend. The Sabres play Northland College in a two-game set, with a “mini-game” Saturday if the teams split the first two games. Puck drop for game one is 7 pm tonight, and again at 4 pm tomorrow. The mini game would be held at 6:30 Saturday evening if necessary.

MLB:

The Brewers continue spring training workouts today in Arizona.  Pitchers and catchers dealt with rain for much of the day yesterday.  Weather could be a factor again today. Position players will report to camp next week.  The first full-squad workout is scheduled for Tuesday.
