Girls High School Basketball:

 

The WIAA playoffs begin tonight for area teams with the sub-regional round. Tonight’s games in the area include:


Division Three:


#7 North Fond du Lac will host #10 seed Omro. The winner advances to face #2 seed Waupun on Friday


#6 Lomira will host #11 Campbellsport. The winner travels to #3 Mayville on Friday.


#12 Ripon travels to #5 Winneconne. The winner travels to #4 Berlin on Friday.


#9 seed Chilton travels to #8 seed Cedar Grove-Belgium

 

#10 seed New Holstein travels to #7 seed Denmark


Division Four:


#11 seed Winnebago Lutheran travels to #6 seed Kewaunee


Division Five:


#5 seed Oakfield hosts #12 Seed University Lake School/Trinity Academy


#3 seed Central Wisconsin Christian hosts #14 seed Pecatonica

 

We’ll have a high school playoff hockey doubleheader on KFIZ tonight. First up, it’s girls hockey as the Fond du Lac Warbirds/Beaver Dam Co-Op hosts Bay Area at 5:30, then at 8 pm its boys hockey as Fond du Lac faces off against rival St. Mary’s Springs.

Wisconsin 73, Minnesota 63 (OT)

--Brevin Pritzl scored 20 points off the bench for the Badgers as the Badgers bounced the Gophers in overtime at the Kohl Center. Brad Davison pitched in 19 points for Wisconsin, with Ethan Happ adding 10 for Wisconsin who closed the game on a 22-4 run. The win is the Badgers’ third in their last four games and puts them at 6-10 in conference and 13-16 overall. They’ll play at Northwestern Thursday night.
