State Champions were crowned across the five girls basketball divisions on Championship Saturday at the Resch Center in Green Bay on Saturday


Division 5: Bangor 39, Black Hawk 29


Division 4: Aquinas 68, Melrose-Mindoro 52


Division 3: Marshall 63, Amherst 55


Division 2: Beaver Dam 51, New Berlin Eisenhower 41

WIAA Sectional Finals:


Division 1:


Oshkosh North 57, Stevens Point 42

--The Spartans will play in the State Semifinals Friday night


Division 2:


Kaukauna 69, Nicolet 59

--The Ghosts advance to the Division 2 State Semifinals which will be played Friday afternoon.


Division 3:


Kettle Moraine Lutheran 53, Waupun 48

--The Warriors close the season at 24-2, both losses came to Kettle Moraine Lutheran


Men’s College Basketball:


NCAA Division 3 Tournament - Elite Eight:


UW-Oshkosh 95, Augustana (IL) 88 (OT)

--The Titans advance to the Final Four for the first time in school history. Former Kimberly athlete Ben Boots poured in 36 points, including eight three pointers in the win. Laconia alumnus Brett Wittchow added 19 for Oshkosh. The Titans will play Ramapo College in one of the National Semifinal contests in Salem, Virginia on Friday.

--James Blackmon Jr. scored 20 points to lead the Herd in the loss.
