Men’s College Basketball:

In the final AP poll of the season, the top four seeds for the NCAA Tournament – Duke, Virginia, North Carolina and Gonzaga – possess the top four spots in the rankings. With Duke, Virginia and UNC going 1-2-3, this is believed to be the first time a conference has held the top three spots in the final AP poll. Big Ten Tournament champion Michigan State is now fifth, with Tennessee, Kentucky, Michigan, Texas Tech and Florida State rounding out the top 10. Wisconsin fell two spots to number 21 in the final AP Poll of the year, while Marquette dropped out of the rankings.

The NCAA Tournament begins tonight with the first of the “First Four” in Dayton, Ohio. In the first game, #16 seeds Fairleigh Dickinson and Prairie View A&M square off for the right to face #1 seed Gonzaga on Thursday. In the late game, #11 seeds Belmont and Temple play for a chance to take on #6 seed Maryland.

Women’s College Basketball:

Six Big Ten women’s basketball teams are headed to the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament after hearing their names called on “Selection Monday”. Iowa, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan Michigan State and Rutgers earned their way into this year’s tournament, making for the second consecutive year and 15th time in the past 19 years that at least six current conference members have been selected to play in the tournament.

The Marquette women earned a number five seed in the Women’s Tournament – the Golden Eagles will play #12 seed Rice in the first round Friday at 1 pm in College Station, Texas.

NBA:

Chicago 116, Phoenix 101

The Bucks welcome LeBron James and the Lakers to Fiserv Forum tonight.  Milwaukee leads Toronto by two and a half games atop the East with a dozen games remaining. LA has lost eight-of-nine and is limiting James’ minutes down the stretch. Tipoff time tonight is 7 pm, coverage starts at 6:30 on KFIZ.

The Brewers resume Cactus League play today after a day off on Monday.  The Crew will welcome the Rangers to Maryvale this afternoon. Milwaukee has won three of its last four to run its spring record to 13-and-11. Opening Day is a week from Thursday. Listen to today’s game starting at 2:55 on KFIZ, first pitch is 3:05.
