–Christian Yelich went 2 for 4 with a pair of RBI, but it wasn’t enough as the Brewers were swept by the Angels in Anaheim Wednesday night. Brandon Woodruff gave up four runs in six innings with seven strikeouts to take the loss. The Brewers are off today and open a three-game series with the LA Dodgers on Friday night.

–Three Bucks players put up double-doubles, but it was Oklahoma City that came out on top in the regular season finale at Fiserv Forum Wednesday night. Tim Fraizer (29 points & 13 assists), Bonzi Colson (21 points & 10 rebounds) and DJ Wilson (18 points & 17 rebounds) all posted double-doubles in the loss. Giannis, Brook Lopez and Eric Bledsoe all sat out as the top-seed Bucks prepare for their first round playoff series. Milwaukee will host Detroit in the first round – game one is Sunday at 6 pm.

WNBA Draft:

A pair of high-profile women’s basketball players with Wisconsin ties were drafted by the WNBA last night – and will be playing on the same team. Notre Dame guard and Milwaukee native Arike Ogunbowale was taken fifth overall by the Dallas Wings in last night’s draft. National Player of the Year, and Port Wing native Megan Gustafson from the University of Iowa was taken by Dallas with the fifth pick of the second round. Marquette’s Natisha Hiedeman – a Green Bay Southwest alum – was taken by Minnesota in the second round with her draft rights traded to Connecticut.
