Fond du Lac defeated Appleton North 163-171 in an FVA dual meet on Tuesday. Sam Nielsen shot a 36 to lead the Cardinals in the win.

–Charlie Quast at #2 singles picked up the only win of the match for Fondy

Track & Field:

Boys: Fond du Lac placed second at an FVA Quadrangular with 82 team points. The Cardinals were behind Neenah which scored 86.5 points.

Girls: Fond du Lac placed third at an FVA Quadrangular with 48.5 team points. The Cardinals placed behind Neenah (106 points) and Hortonville (73 points) in the meet

Men’s Lacrosse:

A Midwest Lacrosse Conference playoff spot is on the line tonight as the Marian University men’s lacrosse team hosts Beloit College. Both teams are 6-3 in the 12-team MLC with the winner of tonight’s game earning the 4th and final playoff spot in the league’s post season tournament. The opening faceoff is set for 7pm at Smith Field on the campus of Marian University.  .

–Paul DeJong homered and Yadier Molina hit a run-scoring double to break open a tie game as the Cardinals took game two of the series with the Brewers in St. Louis Tuesday night. Milwaukee got a pair of home runs from Travis Shaw in the loss. The Brewers look to salvage the final game of the series this afternoon – coverage starts at 11:40 on KFIZ.
