–Becca Kingsland went 4 for 4 at the plate in the win

–The Spartans scored 12 runs in the first inning to break the game open

–Alyssa Muench tossed a complete game two-hitter with 12 strikeouts for the Cougars

Boys Golf:

St. Mary’s Springs won the Flyway Conference Meet hosted by Omro on Thursday. The Ledgers shot a 162 with Omro taking second with a 181. Lomira was third with a 189, Mayville 4th with a 199 and Winnebago Lutheran fifth with a 216. Doyle Kelly for SMSA was the medalist with a 34.

Major League Baseball:

The Brewers are in the Big Apple tonight to take on the Mets.  It’s the first of a three-game series, with Chase Anderson opposing reigning NL Cy Young winner Jacob deGrom. The Brewers have lost four in-a-row and seven of their last eight to fall to 13-and-13. First pitch is 6:10 this evening, coverage starts at 5:35 on KFIZ.

–Series tied 3-3, game seven is Saturday in Denver

Tonight, Golden State looks to close out the LA Clippers in their Western Conference first round series. The Warriors hold a 3-2 series lead.

The Bucks begin their second-round playoff series Sunday at home against the Celtics.  Both are coming off first-round sweeps. Milwaukee took out Detroit in four games and Boston did the same to Indiana. The Bucks will also host Game Two on Tuesday. Tipoff is at Noon, listen to the game Sunday on KFIZ
