–The Dock Spiders couldn’t hold on to an early lead and lost for the second game in a row to the Rafters Wednesday night. Fond du Lac built a 4-0 lead after two innings, but saw Rapids score four in the fourth to tie and two in the fifth to take the lead. Tim Elko and Duncan Hunter each had two hits in the loss for Fondy. The Dock Spiders visit Madison tonight for a 6:35 pm first pitch.

–JP Crawford had three hits – hitting two doubles and a triple – and drove in three runs as the Mariners won game two of the interleague series with the Brewers at Miller Park on Wednesday night. Adrian Houser got the start out of the bullpen, and gave up three runs on four hits in just two innings to take the loss. Mike Moustakas and Ben Gamel hit solo home runs in the sixth inning to pull the Brewers within a run, but one of Crawford’s run-scoring doubles in the ninth made it a two-run game again. The final game of the series is this afternoon – first pitch is 1:10 pm, coverage starts at 12:35 on KFIZ.

College Baseball: 

College World Series Final: Vanderbilt 8, Michigan 2. The Commodores win their second CWS title in four appearances in Omaha, defeating the Wolverines two games to one in the series. Michigan won the first game on Monday, 7-to-4 but Vanderbilt won Tuesday 4-to-1 to even the series before picking up the win Wednesday to take home the title.
