–Cole Zabowski had three hits and former Fondy Cardinal Austin Wagner struck out nine batters in six innings of work to help the Dock Spiders to a win in game one.

Green Bay 5, Fond du Lac 0 (Game 2)

–Fondy was held to just four hits – two of those from Alex Henwood – in the loss. Their first shutout loss of the season. The Dock Spiders return home to take on Battle Creek tonight – first pitch is 6:35 pm.

–A five-run seventh inning helped the Royals take the rubber match of the two game series with the Brewers at Miller Park Wednesday afternoon. Jesus Aguilar hit his 18th home run of the season in the sixth inning to give the Brewers a 1-0 lead, before the Kansas City offense exploded in the seventh off of Brewers starter Brent Suter. Brad Miller delivered a three-run pinch hit home run in the ninth to pull the Brewers within one, but Ryan Braun grounded into a double play to end the game. The Brewers open a four-game series in Cincinnati tonight, coverage on KFIZ and the Brewers Radio Network begins at 5:35 pm.

Another Brewers player will be rehabbing with the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers this weekend. The team announced Wednesday that shortstop Tyler Saladino will begin a three-day rehab assignment starting tonight as the Timber Rattlers open a series with Clinton. Saladino has been on the disabled list since May 29th with a sprained ankle. Pitcher Zach Davies was announced to be making a rehab start Friday in Appleton.
