Boys Golf:

WIAA State Tournament:

Division One:

Fond du Lac finished in fourth place at the State Tournament, finishing day two with a team score of 314 to bring their total for the tournament at a 619. Elliot Nielsen finished in a tie for 16th overall with a 152, Jack DuChateau tied for 19th with a 153, Sam Nielsen tied for 38th with a 156, Jonah Duwell tied for 45th with a 158, Seb Hoban tied for 72nd place with a 165. Marquette University HS won the State Championship with a two-day total of a 598.

Division Two:

Waupun finished seventh as a team at the State Tournament at University Ridge. The Warriors shot a 334 on day two to bring their tournament total to a 676. Tucker Lemmenes finished tied for 26th with a 167 to lead Waupun. Madison Edgewood won the D2 title, with a two-day total of a 605

Division 3:

For the fourth year in a row, the St. Mary’s Springs Ledgers are State Champions in Boys Golf. The Ledgers finished off a dominant performance at University Ridge with a 313 in Tuesday’s second round to finish with a total of a 642 for the tournament. The Ledgers finished 50 shots ahead of second place Madison Abundant Life who had a 692. Doyle Kelly finished second individually with a 151, Owen Ahern tied for 11th with a 160, Dawson Sarauer tied for 14th with a 163, Colin Ahern tied for 19th with a 169, Ben Hintze finished 27th with a 174.

–The Spartans fall short of back-to-back State Tournament appearances

WIAA Division Two Sectionals (At Ripon):

–The Warriors advance to the Division 2 State Semifinals where they will face Ellsworth Wednesday night

–Alex Henwood went 3 for 4 with a double in the win for the Dock Spiders that put them in a three-way tie for first place in the South Division with Madison and Wisconsin Rapids. –Lorenzo Cain collected two hits and Travis Shaw hit his 14th home run of the season in the loss for the Brewers against the Indians Tuesday night. The teams play again in the series finale this afternoon, coverage on KFIZ and the Brewers Radio Network begins at 11:35 this morning, first pitch at 12:10.
