--The Dock Spiders won the hit column 6-to-4, but couldn’t score any runs as they lost to the Rafters at Herr-Baker Field on Tuesday night. Sam Novitske and Zach Prajzner each had two hits to lead the Fondy offense. The two teams meet again tonight in Wisconsin Rapids. First pitch is 7:05 pm. Listen on KFIZ and KFIZ.com.

American League 4, National League 3

--None of the Brewers all-stars recorded a hit in the game, with Christian Yelich, Mike Moustakas and Yasmani Grandal going a combined 0-for-5 in the loss for the National League. Grandal did walk and score a run in the game. Brandon Woodruff pitched ⅔ of an inning, giving up a run on one hit and walking one batter. 


American League pitchers kept a strong National League hitting lineup quiet most of the night - recording 16 strikeouts in the game. Cleveland pitcher Shane Bieber was named the game’s MVP - he pitched a scoreless fifth inning with three strikeouts. It’s the 7th year in a row the American League has bested the National League in the mid-summer classic.
