High School Football:


The Wisconsin Football Coaches Association All-Star games will be played today at Titan Stadium in Oshkosh. Area football players taking part in the games include Garrett Sphatt from Fond du Lac High School, Clay Schueffner and McKinley Buetow from St. Mary’s Springs Academy and Grant Manke from Winnebago Lutheran Academy. Seven Oakfield Oaks were also named WFCA all-stars in the eight man division, they are Alex Chiavetta, Eric Jacob, James Kottke, Brady Laabs, Eli Liebelt, Ethan Tapp & Brandon Williams. The Eight Man game is at 10 am, the “Small School” game at 1:30 pm and the “Large School” game is at 5 pm.

Fond du Lac 4, Kenosha 2

--The Dock Spiders move into first place in the South Division for the second half of the season with the win. Mitch Boe had three hits in the win for Fondy. The Dock Spiders visit Madison tonight - first pitch is 6:05 pm, listen online at KFIZ.com.

--Christian Yelich went 3 for 5 with a double and a triple and Jesus Aguilar hit his 25th home run of the year, but it wasn’t enough as the Brewers’ losing streak hits seven games with the loss to Los Angeles Friday at Miller Park. Taylor Williams gave up two runs in the seventh to take the loss for Milwaukee - he drops to 0-3 on the year. The two teams meet again tonight, coverage on KFIZ begins at 5:35 pm.

--Matt Carpenter went 5 for 5 at the plate, with three home runs and two doubles - driving in seven runs on the day as the Cardinals pounded the Cubs at Wrigley Field.
