The Brewers got two home runs from Jesus Aguilar and a two-run homer from Keston Hiura in the loss - but it wasn’t enough to mount a comeback and get the win. The Brewers end the first half of the regular season with a 47-44 record, a half-game back of the Cubs in the National League Central - having lost five of their last seven games. MLB News:

If you had planned on cheering on Christian Yelich in tonight’s Home Run Derby in Cleveland, you’re sure to be disappointed. Yelich pulled out of the derby on Sunday because of a sore back, according to Major League Baseball. Yelich was the number-one seed in the derby and was set to face off against Toronto rookie Vlad Gurerro Jr, but instead will be replaced by Matt Chapman of Oakland. It’s unclear whether Yelich will still play in Tuesday’s All-Star Game.

Minor League Baseball:

Wisconsin 4, Beloit 3

--Brewers #2 prospect Brice Turang delivered the walk-off hit in the win - then after the game learned he would be promoted to the Brewers’ Class A “Advanced” team, the Carolina Mudcats.
