–Jesus Aguilar blasted two home runs – part of four homers on the day for the Brewers – as they defeated the Braves in the final game of their weekend series at Miller Park Sunday afternoon. It was the final home game before the All Star break for the Brewers, and they went out with a bang, with Aguilar hitting his 21st and 22nd home runs of the year in back-to-back innings. Hernan Perez and Eric Thames also left the park in the win. Junior Guerra had another solid outing on the hill for Milwaukee, allowing a run on seven hits in six innings. The Brewers open a three game series in Miami tonight – coverage begins at 5:35 pm.

MLB News:

Three Brewers players were selected to the 89th annual Major League Baseball All Star Game and a fourth could be going if they win the “final vote” by fans. Outfielders Lorenzo Cain and Christian Yelich were named All-Star reserves for the national league, while reliever Josh Hader was named to the National League pitching roster. First baseman Jesus Aguilar is one of five players from the NL that are up for a final fan vote to be selected to the All-Star Game. Joining him are Brandon Belt of San Francisco, Matt Carpenter of St. Louis, Max Muncy of the LA Dodgers and Trea Turner of Washington. Brewer fans can vote for Aguilar in the final vote at brewers.com/vote before 3pm Wednesday.
