–Jack Wassel went two for two at the plate with two RBI in the loss for Fondy. The Dock Spiders have lost four in a row – and have dropped five in a row to the Mallards this season. –Lorenzo Cain hit a run-scoring double in the third inning that provided the only run of the game as the Brewers took game two of the four game series with the Dodgers in Los Angeles Tuesday night. Wade Miley threw a two-hit shutout on the hill for Milwaukee, striking out five in seven innings. Game three of the series is tonight, first pitch at 9:10 pm. MLB News:

The Brewers added some infield depth just before Tuesday’s trade deadline by acquiring second baseman Jonathan Schoop from Baltimore in exchange for three players. Milwaukee acquired Schoop for second baseman Jonathan Villar, along with minor leaguers Luis Ortiz (RHP) and Jean Carmona (INF). Schoop was hitting .244 with 17 home runs and 40 RBI for the Orioles this year. Nine of those homers came in the month of July – which is tied for second most in the majors.

NBA:

The Milwaukee Bucks will play their first ever game in the new Fiserv Forum in the preseason. The team announced their exhibition schedule Tuesday, which includes two home games – the opener October 3rd against Chicago and a Friday night matchup October 12th against Minnesota. Two road games – at Chicago and at Oklahoma City round out the preseason slate for Milwaukee.
