Fond du Lac 15, Battle Creek 6

--Make it seven wins in a row for the Dock Spiders as they blow out the bombers to complete the sweep at Herr-Baker Field Friday night. Fond du Lac built an 8-0 lead after three innings en route to the win. Charlie Maxwell, Tate Kolwyck and Ryan Sepede each had three hits in the win - with Kolwyck driving in four runs. With the win, and a loss by Wisconsin Rapids, the Dock Spiders are now a half game out of first place with two games to play. Fondy closes out the regular season with two games against Madison - tonight’s game at Warner Park starts at 6:05 pm, listen on KFIZ.com

--Eric Thames crushed a walk-off home run to beat the Rangers in game one of the weekend series Friday night at Miller Park. The Brewers took a 5-2 lead in the seventh inning, then saw that lead evaporate after a two-run homer in the eighth and a solo home run from Elvis Andrus in the ninth off of Josh Hader. With two outs in the ninth and facing a 3-1 count, Thames blasted a 388-foot shot to right field to win the game. Game two of the series is tonight - coverage starts at 5:35, first pitch at 6:10 on KFIZ.
